Maria is a naturopathic doctor from Portland, Oregon USA—a well known hotspot for natural medicine. In 2010, Maria graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine, and she has since traveled the world practicing, teaching, and promoting naturopathic medicine as a global health doctor and professor, as well as studying various forms of traditional medicine. Maria wholeheartedly believes in encouraging the innate healing ability of the body through a gentle approach with natural medicine based on science and traditional wisdom. As a naturopathic doctor, Maria is trained in the conventional medical sciences, diagnosis and pharmacology, as well as in various naturopathic theories and modalities including; physical medicine, nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, counseling, and mind-body medicine.
Yasmin is the founder of Sanya and is passionate about helping our community go within. She uses her extensive training in yoga and meditation as a basis for guiding her students into deeper self connection. She believes that learning how to manage our emotions and capacity for inner relaxation is a crucial component of our journey towards greater wellbeing. She was initiated as a teacher by meditation master Prabhu Darmayasa after completing over 300 hours of pure meditation in Bali.
